- For Chinese dumplings
3 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons Chinese rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon hot chili oil
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- For Korean dumplings
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon seasoned rice vinegar
pinch of black pepper
pinch of red pepper flakes gochugaru
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon water
- For Japanese dumplings
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
La-yu (Japanese chilli oil), optional
- For Thai dumplings
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 squeeze of fresh lime juice (or to taste)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 teaspoon sugar
fresh-cut chilies (or 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper) (optional)
Directions
- Combine all the ingredients. Leave aside for at least 20 minutes before use. You can also store the sauce in refrigerator and use within 3 days.

- It’s worth mentioning that you can create your own recipe for the dipping sauce. It means that you can add ingredients satisfying your taste or exclude those that you cannot deal with.
